Activities and Ministries
REGULARLY SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES
Coffee Fellowship Hour:
Come grab coffee and a bite after Sunday Divine Liturgy and meet our St. George community!
Wednesday night sessions on a variety of themes led by priests and parishioners.
Wednesday night meetings with dinner and discussion plus outings on the weekends. Grades 7-12.
Twice-monthly events for grades 4-6, including outings (bowling, baseball) and learning at the Cathedral.
Bi-weekly bite-sized lessons for ages 0-8 about a saint or feast. Meets 30-minutes prior to Wednesday evening Vespers.
Learning for kids of all ages immediately after the Divine Liturgy.
Meals for the needy:
Serve meals at The Lord's Diner with fellow parishioners once a month.
Provides financial and spiritual support to those in need, both inside and outside the parish family. Partners with community agencies with whom we share common goals.
Orthodox Christian Fellowship:
College student ministry meeting weekly to help students live their faith.
Supports and promotes awareness of Orthodox missions and missionaries in Kansas, the United Sates, and around the world. Has provided for the building of a church in Ghana and sent a mission team to Kenya.
Young Adult Fellowship/New Breed:
A quarterly gathering for fellowship and discussion for those beginning careers and families.
A Thursday morning sewing spree by our parishes most dedicated seamstresses. Making blankets and other items with love for those in need.
Sponsor various parish luncheons and dinners throughout the year. Host special events to raise funds for Christ the Savior Academy. Sponsor Women's Faith & Growth, the annual Women's Retreat, and occasional fellowship events for the women of the parish.
Women's Faith and Growth:
Monthly book club for the ladies of St. George to gather for spiritual discussion.
Women's Bible Study:
Meets bi-weekly on Thursday afternoons to study the Holy Scripture with Fr. Paul.
Monthly discussion on a contemporary theological work. Meets at Eighth Day Books.
Patristics Reading Group:
Bi-weekly deep-dives into the works of the Church Fathers led by Fr. Calinic.
Reaches out to visitors to form connections with the parish and facilitate welcoming into the community.

Church School 2023 Fall Semester
Registration for Fall of 2023 is Sunday, September 3rd and 10th after Liturgy in the Fellowship Hall.
Church School begins Sunday, September 17th
St George Cathedral Choir
"He who sings prays twice." St George Cathedral is blessed with a magnificent choir of dedicated singers, under the direction of Ms. Christine Farha, and an outstanding Byzantine Choir, under protopsaltis Dr Sam Cohlmia. We invite you to inquire about attending rehearsals and joining this important ministry!
