October 7th: The Big Dinner is only a
few days away! We volunteered to set-up the tables, chairs and partitions in
the Parish Hall. Thank you to Aunt Cathy Ellsworth for helping us
measure…and re-measure…and re-measure…and measure some more.
We also baked TONS of Halloween cookies to sell in the Big Dinner’s
Country Kitchen! At midnight our job was done. Whew!
September 30th: Father Christopher Holwey served Vespers with us at Grace Wilke
Chapel at Wichita State University. This is a great way to share our faith on
campus. Thank you Father Chris!
September 23rd: We had a potluck dinner and
quick discussion over current events and Jenny and Jeannine’s apartment. Another wonderful OCF evening.
September 16th: OCF said
“good-bye” to summer today with a big picnic bash at the park by
Jimmy and Gigi’s house. Lots of good barbeque,
tons of good friends (about 25) and too much fun on the playground equipment!
Today was Sarah Leming’s last day with us
before she moves to California for school…we’ll miss you and good
luck!
Setpember 9th: The annual Big Dinner at
the Cathedral is coming up and they really need everyone’s help. We
helped clean, package and count Kibbeh. Thanks to
everyone that helped…it was great fun!
September 2nd: We had our yearly
election officers today followed by dinner at Barn’rd’s.
Whose choice was that? Oh yeah…Jimmy’s!
And the ballots are in: President-Jenny Dutcher,
Vice-President-Lillian Saad, Treasurer-Maggie Barber,
Secretary-Jeannine Panopoulous.
August 26th: We had our first
unofficial activity of the school year! We set up a booth and painted a banner
for Convocation at Wichita State University.
